ANDREAS SCHÄFER

Andreas Schäfer was born in Hamburg in 1969, grew up near Frankfurt/Main, and now lives with his family in Berlin. He writes novels, essays, libretti, and radio features. His debut "Auf dem Weg nach Messara" was awarded, among others, the Bremen Literature Promotion Prize. This was followed by the novels "Wir vier" (DuMont 2010), which was nominated for the German Book Prize and awarded the Anna Seghers Prize, "Gesichter" (DuMont 2013), the Spiegel bestseller "Das Gartenzimmer" (DuMont 2020), and most recently "Die Schuhe meines Vaters" (DuMont 2022).
