Saving a Great Love
Maya and Samuel have known one another for more than half their lives. They grew up next door to each other, becoming best friends
before falling in love. These days, they live together in a quaint little house. Maya writes articles for the local newspaper and has a photo
studio, while Samuel runs a gaming channel and gardens in his spare time. They complement each other perfectly: Maya is forthright and
throws herself into things at the deep end. Samuel always thinks things over for a little too long, but he is Maya’s anchor and calm in the
storm. They are happy together – until loss tears them apart. They both grieve in their own ways: Maya is broken but she feels her way back out into the world as a photographer. Samuel takes refuge in his streaming community and tries to hold their shared life together. But while they once had plenty to say to each other, they now seem to have
run out of words. Yet despite their silence, they manage to find their way back to each other.
A tender, empathetic book about loss and the power of carrying on.
