What a Rotten Little Gherkin!
Summer in the city’s newspaper editorial offices. A truly important editor-in-chief prepares his breakfast roll. Side dish: crunchy gherkins.
As he bites into it, vinegar water squirts straight into his eye. The uproar is huge; the editor-in-chief is on the verge of blindness! The
incident causes a stir: the mishap becomes a column, then a topic for letters to the editor, interviews, and finally a public debate. Gherkins are banned, protests form, and the editorial team splits into factions.
With biting irony, Johanna Sebauer, comments on today’s culture of outrage - brilliantly illustrated by Nikolaus Heidelbach.
