“The superstar of German travel writers” Kölner Stadt-Anzeiger
Andreas Altmann sets off to the land of unlimited opportunity. He takes a Greyhound bus from New York to San Francisco for a trip full of adventure and shows us the United States that you won’t find in any travel guide.
A different look at the US.
Andreas Altmann was a model, actor, studied law and psychology, worked as an investment consultant, and road construction worker. He now lives as a foreign correspondent and travel book author in Paris. He has travelled for example with no money from Paris to Berlin (‘34 Tage/33 Nächte’). He was on the road in Columbia, Ecuador, Peru, Bolivia and Chile (‘Reise durch einen einsamen Kontinent’, DuMont 2007) and in Australia (‘Im Land der Regenbogenschlange’, DuMont 2008), or has gone meditating in India (Triffst du Buddha, töte ihn!', DuMont 2010). Andreas Altmann has received the Egon Erwin Kisch Prize, the Seume Literature Prize and the Reisebuch Prize, among others. Further information under: www.andreas-altmann.com
