THE MAGICAL ADVENT CALENDAR

THE FASCINATION OF A STUBBORN ADVENT CALENDAR
A very special advent calendar: the magical fairy tale story set around Jonas in 24 chapters.
Imaginative and cryptic, warm-hearted and wonderful and very funny
It’s winter in Ravenshagen. This is where Jonas Klaasen lives with his sister Sarah and his father who is a carpenter. Jonas is smart and dreamy, maybe a little shy. And he doesn’t like to share, something his sister can say a thing or two about. One day Jonas finds a wooden box with 24 little doors and pretty adornments on his doorstep – an advent calendar. But strangely enough, the doors cannot be opened. Jonas tries to solve the riddle and discovers that the adornments contain clues – to the inhabitants of Ravenshagen - which help him to access the delicious chocolates that are hidden behind each door. The magical advent calendar sends Jonas on an adventurous journey and he gets to know his neighbours better and better: the butcher Herrenschräge, the artist Schmiergel, Iona Bratescu, the blind gambler Schmolinki, the seamstress Mrs Menger-Patsch or secretive Joachim Ernesto Oppermann. Jonas will make a lot of new friends before Christmas and understand that life is much more fun when you share – and even enter the magical world of the calendar.
