Hans Gekeler, born in 1930, majored in printing and design at the Staatliche Akademie der Bildenden Künste in Stuttgart. He worked as a freelance art designer and professor for art design and theory of colors at the technical college of Darmstadt for many years and held several guest chairs at Universities throughout the United States.

Hans Gekeler, 1930–2010, studierte Malerei und Grafik an der Staatlichen Akademie der Bildenden Künste Stuttgart. Langjährige Tätigkeit als freischaffender Grafik-Designer und Professor für Grafik-Design und Farbenlehre an der Fachhochschule Darmstadt. Mehrmalige Gastprofessuren an Universitäten in den USA.
